Out of Iraq
Iraqi leaders want us out of Iraq. The Union for Reform Judaism, representing 1.5 million members, wants us out of Iraq. Hawkish Democrat John Murtha wants us out of Iraq. 65% of U.S. citizens want us out of Iraq. 70 U.S. cities have passed resolutions because they want us out of Iraq.

Make sure your Senators and Representatives are aware of this and it wouldn't hurt to remind the news media with a letter to the editor of your favorite newspaper.

See the After Downing Street web site for additional ways to take action.

White Phosphorus in Fallujah
Last week saw a parade of denials and then admissions by Pentagon officials regarding the use of white phosphorus by the U.S. military in Fallujah. Read the article The Fog of War: White Phosphorus, Fallujah and Some Burning Questions on the Independent, Behind the phosphorus clouds are war crimes within war crimes on the Guardian and Phosphorus Tale Burns Pentagon on the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

Checkpoint Madness
The all too familiar scenario of U.S. troops firing on civilians in an approaching vehicle was repeated on Monday as soldiers fired on a minivan on its way to a funeral near Baquba. According to the survivors, 5 family members were killed, including 2 children, and another 4 wounded. "The soldiers started shooting at us from all over. I slowed down and pulled off the road, but they continued firing. I saw my family killed, one after the other, and then the car caught fire. I dragged their bodies out."

Don't Forget: Thanksgiving With Cindy Sheehan
If your friends and family are still trying to decide what to do for Thanksgiving, you might suggest they spend the holidays at Camp Casey in Crawford, Texas. The event is sponsored by Gold Star Families for Peace and the Crawford Peace House and endorsed by Iraq Veterans Against the War, Veterans For Peace and Code Pink.

"We do not torture"
Bush says we don't torture.

Porter Goss says the CIA doesn't torture.

Human Rights Watch says we do.

See the Democracy for America web site to call on President Bush to oppose torture and the Working for Change web site to demand a House vote on the McCain Anti-Torture Amendment.

Protests At School of the Americas and Recruiting Stations
Nearly 20,000 descending on Fort Benning, Georgia, home of the School of the Americas, cleverly renamed the Western Hemisphere Institute for Security Cooperation, for two days of protests calling for the closure of the infamous "training" center. See the web site of School of the Americas Watch for accounts and photos as well as an AP article.

Meanwhile, protests were held at recruiting stations across the U.S. in the Not Your Soldier Day and National Stand Down Day.

It wasn't the Russians that got us Trump. Or Comey. Or even the massive GOP election fraud. It was the DNC.*

Iraq Deaths Estimator
Did someone tell you that U.S. military intervention in Iraq was over? Not true: we're at it again. This time the pretext to drop bombs is "curbing ISIS" (which was created by the U.S. in the first place, to overturn al-Malaki in Iraq and then Assad in Syria, and is now out of hand. Like what happened to "our" creature al Qaeda in Afghanistan). And the death toll continues to rise...
Write your senators and tell them: "Enough! U.S. out!! Iraq has shown it can curb ISIS by itself!"
